Wales Online report Everton’s £45 million offer has been turned down, with the Swans holding firm over their £50 million valuation.

The £45 million figure is considered by many as already excessive, but Swansea hold the cards, and given his contribution to them staying in the Premier League last season, it is understandable they value him highly.
Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell has no issue with the £45 million bid from the Toffees, arguing that it is just the nature of the current market.
The ball is now back in Everton’s court after Swansea’s swift rebuttal of Everton’s offer.
It would be a lot for Everton to spend on the 27-year-old, but at the same time it would be an opportunity to flex their financial muscle.

Sigurdsson would become their record signing by far, but they should take into account the bargain signings of Sandro and Henry Onyekuru, snapped up for less than £13 million combined.
An offer of £50 million would really put Swansea’s resolve to the test.
