Marcel Brands has been busy bringing new players to Everton already.

Marcel Brands has told Everton’s official programme, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, that he has been very impressed by Everton’s support so far.

Brands is only just starting out life as head of recruitment at Goodison Park, but the Toffees home crowd have already impressed him.

Everton fans were in good voice at the weekend, as the Toffees beat Southampton 2-1.

And Brands said: “I have been very impressed with the support that the team gets but that was no surprise to me.

“The Everton supporters are extremely passionate about their club and every time I go out for dinner I have them approaching me to ask about signings for the team!

“I like that, though, because it is their club and I always say that ultimately my job is to make the supporters proud of their football club.”

Everton have made a bright start to the season, with one of Brands’ new additions really catching the eye.

Richarlison was brought to Everton for a big fee this summer, but he is already paying back his price-tag, as the Brazilian has scored three goals in his first two games.

Everton began their season with a 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, before beating Southampton 2-1 in their most recent outing.

Marco Silva’s side are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Bournemouth.
