Everton have discussed a potential swap deal with Swansea City which would see Ellis Simms exchanged for Joel Piroe.
Swansea City continue to chase Everton striker Ellis Simms but may end up swapping him for Joel Piroe.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Championship interest in Simms is rising.
Stoke City are interested in Simms whilst Coventry City fancy him to replace in-demand striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Swansea City are really keen though and they have discussed a swap deal with Everton.
The idea would be for Everton to sign Swansea forward Joel Piroe with Simms heading to Swansea.
That could work out well for both sides with Everton bolstering their attacking options and Swansea able to immediately replace Piroe with Simms.
Much will depend on whether Simms wants to give up on his Everton hopes but the Toffees may well fancy pulling off this exchange.

Everton must add attackers amid Joel Piroe interest
Everton narrowly stayed up on the final day of the Premier League season and can’t be in that situation again next season.
The Toffees simply have to find more goalscoring options given Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fairly regular injury problems.
Neal Maupay was supposed to take on that role last season but endured a fairly dismal campaign t Goodison Park and will surely move on this summer.

Piroe may be the man for Everton having excelled for Swansea ever since joining from PSV Eindhoven in 2021.
The Dutchman has racked up 43 goals in just 92 games for Swansea, hitting at least 20 goals in both of his campaigns with the club.
Swansea would hate to lose Piroe but he is now entering the final year of his contract with the club.
This may be the perfect time to cash in on Piroe – or land a new striker to take his place by swapping him for Simms.
