Everton have been given a major boost ahead of Wednesday night’s game at home to Leicester City with Seamus Coleman set to return to the squad.

Coleman hasn’t played competitively since suffering a broken leg while representing the Republic of Ireland in March 2017 but the defender featured for Everton’s U23 side against Portsmouth last week.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Coleman is set to return to the squad against Leicester, although it isn’t clear whether he will take to the field.

Coleman will undoubtedly take time to build up his fitness after such a lengthy layoff and the 29-year-old will hope that his injury doesn’t have any lasting effects.
