The Belgian attacker has started the new campaign in great form.
Everton’s Kevin Mirallas in action
Everton attacker Kevin Mirallas has been speaking about shock links suggesting he could be on his way back too Belgian club Standard Liege.
It was briefly suggested in the Belgian press recently that Standard Liege could be about to bring Mirallas back to the club where he began his football education and his hometown.
Former Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten is on the board at Standard and Mirallas is a good friend of the former central defender.

But on whether he could be tempted into a move to Standard right now the Everton attacker told La Derniere Heurre that he was very happy at Goodison Park at present, but could perhaps one day return to Liege:
“I do not know. It’s true that with Daniel Van Buyten I am a good friend, but I do not know how the board of Standard would find the money to attract me.
“It would give me pleasure to ever return, but the new coach at Everton gives me confidence. I have no reason to look for a new club.”
Mirallas has indeed started the season well under new manager Ronald Koeman.
The Belgian has earned his place back in the Red Devils national team and helped guide Everton to an excellent start to the new campaign.
It is a great turnaround for a player who found himself out of favour toward the end of last season at Everton.
Hopefully he can keep up such good form for the Toffees.
