The Manchester United striker left Everton in 2004.

Bet Victor have installed Everton as 6/1 favourites to re-sign Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney this summer.
The 30-year-old rose through the ranks at Everton before sealing a big-money move to Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2004.
The United captain has enjoyed a fine 12 years with the Red Devils but it remains to be seen how big of a role Rooney will have under new manager Jose Mourinho, who has also brought Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Theatre of Dreams.

If Mourinho’s recent comments are anything to go by then an exit seems unlikely after the Portuguese told MUTV this week: “He is a player I always wanted to have in my side. Finally, I have him and I have him in the club he loves, the club where he has spent the best years of his career. And, I think, the best is yet to come from him.”
Nevertheless, bookmaker Bet Victor have listed Everton as 6/1 favourite to bring him back to Goodison Park, although a return to the Toffees seems improbable.

Even with new owner Farhad Moshiri on board, re-signing Rooney – who earns a reported £260,000-a-week (Independent) and is contracted to Manchester United until 2019 – is perhaps unrealistic at the moment.
‘Any Chinese club’ and ‘any MLS club’ are priced at 8/1 and 14/1 respectively. Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are both 16/1, while Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City are all long shots at 25/1.
