Everton boss Sam Allardyce is rapidly losing support at Goodison Park.

Everton fans have suggested that Wayne Rooney should become player manager until the end of the season, after his appearance on Monday Night Football last night.

Rooney spoke with eloquence on a range of topics, and admitted that he wanted to go into management.

The Everton forward also suggested that he was already chipping in with comments at half-time of Everton matches.

And some Everton fans have suggested that they wouldn’t mind seeing Rooney take over from Sam Allardyce until the end of the season.

While some of the responses are sure to be joking suggestions, others were serious.

Rooney actually wouldn’t be able to take charge at Everton this term, as he is yet to complete his pro licence.

Sam Allardyce is currently under huge pressure at Everton, with the Merseyside outfit’s form poor.

Allardyce sparked a big improvement at Goodison Park when he took charge, but Everton have been abject of late.

The Toffees were beaten 5-1 by Arsenal in their most recent outing, and have slipped down into 10th place in the Premier League table.
