The £13.5million-valued midfielder (Transfermarkt) had only made two appearances this season for Marco Silva’s side prior to today, two cameos off the bench for a mere total of 20 minutes of action (Transfermarkt).
However, Davies – who captained England’s Under-21s in the international break just gone – was named from the off in the Everton central midfield alongside Andre Gomes and put in a very solid shift as the Toffees claimed a 2-0 victory over West Ham.

The Toffees moved out of the Premier League’s bottom three after unanswered goals from Bernard and Gylfi Sigurdsson helped overcome the Hammers and ease the pressure on under-fire Everton boss Marco Silva.
