A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the Carabao Cup third-round draw, which has put the Goodison Park side up against Sheffield Wednesday away.

The Toffees booked their place in round three after a hard-fought 4-2 win away at Lincoln City, the League One side leading after 20 seconds when Harry Anderson fired home from Jack Payne’s cross.

Lucas Digne equalised with a 30-yard free kick before Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a penalty, and even though Bruno Andrade levelled for Lincoln with a volley, Alex Iwobi and Richarlison headed home to put Marco Silva’s side into the third round.

As for Wednesday, a last-minute goal from Atdhe Nuhiu was enough to seal a 1-0 victory for Lee Bullen’s side away at Rotherham United in the second round of the competition on Wednesday evening.
