Everton were victorious at Goodison Park in the cup last night but the Toffees defender did not impress for Marco Silva and co.

A number of Everton fans have been commenting on Twitter following their cup win at Goodison Park last night and one of the Toffees players who came under scrutiny was Seamus Coleman.
The Republic of Ireland captain was one of five personnel changes made by Everton boss Marco Silva for the clash with his old club but the defender once again put in a lacklustre performance, something which has sadly become quite common in recent weeks.
The opposition had a lot of joy down the right flank, particularly early on in the Goodison Park clash, and although Coleman did improve after the interval, the likelihood is that Djibril Sidibe will be back when Everton are back in Premier League action this weekend.

Everton nonetheless succeeded in booking their place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup thanks to second-half goals from Mason Holgate, who headed home substitute Theo Walcott’s cross in the 73rd minute, and Richarlison, who finished off a counter-attack in stoppage time.
