The Toffees academy graduate has left Goodison Park and some Blues fans were not best pleased.

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Toffees academy graduate Joe Williams has left Goodison Park permanently (official Everton website).
The 22-year-old has completed a permanent move to Championship club Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee following 15 years on Everton’s books.
Williams linked up with the Blues aged seven and rose through the ranks at the club before playing a leading role as the Under-23s secured the inaugural Premier League 2 title in 2016-17, but leaves without having made a single senior appearance.
The midfielder, who follows fellow Toffees academy graduate left-back Antonee Robinson in heading to the DW Stadium this summer, has spent the last two campaigns on loan in the Championship, with Bolton Wanderers last season and Barnsley the year before.
Here is what some Everton fans said on social media about the club announcement:
Williams himself also took to Instagram with a message for the Everton fanbase:
According to the Liverpool Echo, Williams was wanted by other Championship clubs as well as sides in the Bundesliga but chose to make the move to the DW Stadium.
