The Toffees summer signing was one of three Goodison Park players called up by England for October’s internationals.

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Fabian Delph has withdrawn from the England squad due to a muscle injury.
The 29-year-old moved to Goodison Park from Manchester City in the summer and was recalled to the Three Lions’ squad having failed to make the cut for their qualifiers in September.
Delph, alongside Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane, was named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifying games against Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
However, despite playing the whole of Everton’s 1-0 loss at Burnley on Saturday, he sustained a hamstring injury late on and as such has dropped out of the squad and is being assessed by the Toffees’ medical staff.
It’s yet another setback for Everton, who have endured a torrid start to the season and currently sit in the bottom three of the Premier League table, with voices calling for Marco Silva’s dismissal from the hotseat growing ever louder.
Here is some of the reaction on social media regarding the Delph injury:
A statement from the Football Association said “no further replacements are planned at this moment” and Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate is set to continue his preparations with a 24-man squad.
