The Toffees duo have formed a mighty combination down the left flank.
Lucas Digne has become a firm fan favourite at Everton in his debut season at the Premier League club thanks to his talent, hard-working displays and all-round pleasant demeanour.
The 25-year-old joined the Toffees from Barcelona in August 2018 on a five-year deal for £18.1million (Transfermarkt) and made his debut on 11 August 2018 in the last four minutes of a 2–2 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers (BBC Sport).
Over the course of the season, Digne has developed a great understanding with fellow summer arrival Bernard, the two overlapping on the left flank, and speaking to the Everton website earlier this year, he hailed the Brazilian as an “amazing” and “very intelligent” player.
Everton may have had their fair share of ups and downs this season but they are finishing the campaign strongly under Marco Silva, with three wins on the trot including triumphs over Chelsea and Arsenal.
Up next for the Toffees is a trip away at already-relegated Fulham and, taking to Twitter ahead of the Saturday fixture, Digne posted a picture of himself in training with his left-wing comrade:
