The Toffees have unveiled their away kit – salmon pink / coral – ahead of the new Premier League season, with a mixed reaction from the Goodison Park faithful.

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the club’s new away kit after its unveiling on Wednesday morning.

The Toffees made the announcement on their website and social media channels and revealed that the away shirt for 2019-20 will be salmon pink (or “living coral” as per the official club website).

Manufactured by Umbro, Everton’s kit has been inspired by two of the Merseyside club’s earliest strips, pink being the colour sported by the team’s first league title-winning season in 1890-91.

The website went on to state that the distinctive two-tone “coral sash” design is reminiscent of the design synonymous with the black and scarlet sash kit that earned Everton the nickname “the Black Watch” in 1881.

Other features on the shirt include a navy blue half-collar effect and a back-of-neck ‘EFC’ sign-off detail, while the shorts are navy blue with pink detail and the socks are pink with a navy blue turnover.

Here is what some of the Goodison Park faithful on social media made of the new kit:
