A number of Everton fans have been commenting on Twitter about Goodison Park prodigy Anthony Gordon and his latest impressive display for the Toffees Under-23s.

David Unsworth’s side was in Premier League International Cup action on Wednesday night, taking on PSV at Southport’s Haig Avenue.

Gordon is deemed one of the brightest young talents at Everton’s illustrious academy and he got himself on the scoresheet once again, after some good work by Tyler Onyango and Dennis Adeniran.

In the end, the Toffees had to settle for a point after the opposition equalised in injury time just before the final whistle, but Gordon will have been happy with his display as he continues to stake his claim for a first-team place.

Indeed, the Liverpool Echo reports that Gordon had travelled with Everton’s 20-man squad to Goodison ahead of their EFL Cup clash, but Marco Silva picked Cenk Tosun instead.

Here is what some Toffees fans said on social media regarding the teenage prodigy’s latest masterclass:

Everton U23s are back in action again on Saturday, with a trip to the Liverpool Academy to take on their Merseyside rivals at 2pm.
