The Toffees fan favourite is fit for this weekend’s Premier League trip, Goodison Park boss Marco Silva has confirmed.

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to rejoice in the news – and the training-ground photo – of Andre Gomes being fit again and available for selection.
The Toffees fan favourite has been sidelined since he picked up a rib injury in the 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Goodison Park on September 1.
In positive fitness news for Everton boss Marco Silva, he confirmed at his press conference (Twitter link) that Gomes and Theo Walcott are both available for the Premier League trip to Turf Moor.
In addition, Jean-Philippe Gbamin returned to on-field training at Finch Farm on Thursday and has begun individual work following his thigh injury incurred in training shortly after his arrival from Mainz.
The news that numerous Blues fans were most vocal about on social media, however, was that of Gomes being back, with some of the reaction included below:
Gomes initially joined Everton on a season-long loan from Camp Nou on transfer deadline day in August 2018 and although he had to recover from a hamstring injury first, it did not take long for him to win over the Blues faithful as he began turning out for Silva’s side.
The Portugal international made his Everton debut in a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace in October 2018 at Goodison Park and went on to make a total of 29 appearances, scoring one goal, last term.
This term, following his permanent switch on a five-year deal with the Toffees in a £22million deal (official Everton website) Gomes has four appearances, all in the Premier League, according to Transfermarkt.
