Everton Under-23s coach David Unsworth spoke about Henen’s future on Thursday.

Everton’s David Henen has tweeted an update on his state of mind, hours after David Unsworth’s comments about the winger’s future at the club.
Henen’s Everton contract is set to expire in June and it would appear that the offer of a new one has not yet arrived.
The 21-year-old is still awaiting his first competitive appearance in Everton colours, four years after he arrived at Goodison Park on an initial loan deal from Greek giants Olympiacos.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo on Thursday, however, Unsworth – who is Henen’s manager at under-23 level – revealed there is still a chance the Belgian can make it at Everton.
“Absolutely, of course he can get a new one [contract] but performances will dictate that,” said the 44-year-old.
And, posting on Twitter shortly afterwards, Henen wrote: “Always happy and positif [sic]”.
That prompted several Everton fans to respond with supportive messages for the former Anderlecht player, as others discussed his future at the club.
Henen is likely to find the competition for a first team place even more fierce next season, when Ademola Lookman and Henry Onyekuru are due back from their loan spells.
Everton can also call upon Theo Walcott and Yannick Bolasie in the Belgian’s position.
