Everton recorded just their second draw of 2018 on Saturday afternoon, as they drew 0-0 with Merseyside rivals Liverpool at Goodison Park.

Having been swept aside by Manchester City last weekend – and then watched on as Liverpool dismantled City 3-0 in midweek – Everton fans were somewhat apprehensive heading into the latest Merseyside derby.

Everton stay ninth in the Premier League table but sit eight points adrift of the top seven after Burnley’s win at Watford – and in truth, there wasn’t much for fans to shout about on Saturday afternoon.

The Frenchman, 28, shone in front of the Everton back four as he looked more like his former self, with Everton fans stunned to see him turn in such a performance having struggled so much this term.

Some believe Schneiderlin was finally back to his form from last season, redeeming himself for a disappointing campaign, with many praying that he can keep it up and kick on rather than slip back to his recent displays.
