Everton have hit real form under Marco Silva, notching four wins in their last five Premier League games, with some promising attacking displays of late.

The Toffees beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1 on Saturday afternoon, with Richarlison bagging two goals as he shows real potential in a striking role having been brought in from the wing.

That decision came after Cenk Tosun struggled to find the net earlier in the season, and some still believe that, despite Richarlison’s exploits, a new striker will be targeted in January.

The Mirror reported last weekend that Leicester’s City striker Jamie Vardy is now a target for Everton, with Silva looking to lure him to Goodison Park.

It’s claimed that Silva wants to launch a £25million move for Vardy in January, amid suggestions that he isn’t exactly enjoying life under Claude Puel.

Vardy, 31, has hit 57 goals in his last three Premier League seasons, whilst he also has three goals in nine games this term.

Vardy could bring a spark to the Everton attack, and fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumour, suggesting that he would bring ‘guaranteed goals’ and Everton should go out and get him in January if possible.

However, with Vardy set to turn 32 in January, others think Vardy is too old to be making the move to Merseyside, and Everton should instead look to sign a younger striker, with fans split over a move.
