Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Morgan Schneiderlin’s performance in their 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park, and many have not held back in their criticism of the Frenchman.

Sam Allardyce’s men went into the game against the relegation-threatened Baggies looking to end a run of four successive defeats in all competitions. In fact, their previous point came in the away fixture against Alan Pardew’s side on Boxing Day.

However, it was the visitors who broke the deadlock inside the first seven minutes with Jay Rodriguez scoring his third goal in his last five matches for West Brom.

The game would take a cruel twist on the hour-mark however, as Salomon Rondon’s collision with James McCarthy led to the Everton midfielder being stretchered off with a broken leg, leaving the West Brom forward in tears.

The home side would secure a point with new signing Theo Walcott setting up substitute Oumar Niasse with 20 minutes to go. But many Toffees fans were still left irate with the result.

Much of their frustration was directed at Schneiderlin, who did not enjoy a good afternoon and continues to struggle this season. Many of the fans have urged Allardyce to stop picking the former Manchester United man, who cost the Toffees an initial £20 million last season (via Guardian).

Schneiderlin was generally poor on the ball and showed very little intent to drive the team forward when he had the chance, and his display has certainly angered a large portion of the supporters.
