The Toffees are heavily linked with re-signing the Barcelona midfielder, who impressed on a season-long loan on Merseyside last term.
According to The Mirror, Gomes has a number of offers on the table, but he would favour a switch to Everton.
The Portugal international posted a photo of himself and a friend on Twitter yesterday afternoon – and fans of the Premier League side were quick to remind him that he’d be very welcome at their club.
What a good deal this could be for Everton, if it comes off. The longer it goes without being confirmed, the more worried the fans – and manager Marco Silva – will be.
