Kevin Mirallas may be at a crossroads in his Everton career.

Everton winger Kevin Mirallas appears to have posted a cryptic message on Instagram.

The 31-year-old spent last season on loan at Fiorentina and doesn’t seem to have much future under Everton boss Marco Silva.

Mirallas, who joined the Toffees under David Moyes back in 2012, hasn’t kicked a ball for the Goodison Park club since December 2017, after spending the second half of that season on loan at Olympiacos.

The Italian outfit have the option to sign the Belgium international outright but, having scored only twice in 27 Serie A outings, it remains to be seen if Fiorentina want him back on a permanent basis.

Nevertheless, Mirallas seems unperturbed by the uncertainty after posting an introspective photo of himself on Instagram, alongside the caption: “what will the future bring me?”

what will the future bring me

Mirallas had, and still does have, a lot of natural ability, but consistency has been his single biggest hindrance since moving to England seven years ago.

It isn’t known what the future holds for him, but it looks hugely unlikely that the tricky winger – out of contract next summer – will be returning to Merseyside.

Here’s how some Everton fans responded to his post:

pgee27 – Wishing u all the best @kmirallas11 I guess your times probably up at @everton .. I did love some of your brilliant moments with @everton .. Keep working hard!

lomas.kevin – Watched your debut for everton all those years ago and you were electric! Keep up the good work!

peterrogers485 – Don’t know, but you stopped being a good Everton player 3 years ago

samg_9 – Certainly not at Everton

kinners1980 – To be fair early on you were tremendous exciting to watch but slowly became a sulker. When a new manager came in u perked up for a few weeks then went back in to the same cycle. I think u could of been so much better than u were unfortunately but all the best

lew.pearce99 – Decent attitude at Everton hopefully
