Everton fans have jokingly suggested that Kevin de Bruyne is also welcome to join them from Manchester City, after he sent a message to Fabian Delph on Twitter.

Everton snapped up Delph from City earlier this week, as they bolstered their midfield.

The messages have flooded in for the England international, and Everton fans took particular notice of De Bruyne’s.

Of course, there is no chance that De Bruyne will be joining Everton any time soon, but that has not stopped some Toffees fans from dreaming.

Delph is expected to challenge for a spot in Everton’s first-team upon signing, and he should bring experience and knowhow to the Toffees’ line-up.

Silva has already gone on record to suggest that Delph has not been signed as a replacement for Idrissa Gueye, which means that Everton could have a real battle to take a midfield place next term.

Delph could be seen for the first time in an Everton shirt tomorrow, when they take on Monaco.
