Everton have secured Anthony Gordon’s future at the club.

Everton have struck an important deal today, handing young forward Anthony Gordon a new contract until 2023.
The Toffees have endured a mixed season so far, but young prospects like Jonjoe Kenny and Tom Davies appear to be improving under Marco Silva.
Everton will hope to have more youth stars in their first team in years to come, and one of them has committed his future to the club today.
Forward Gordon, 18, has signed a new four-year deal, keeping him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2023, which is a much-needed move for Everton.
Just four months ago, the Daily Mail reported that Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and even Arsenal were all interested in signing Gordon.
That will have left some worried that the teenage attacker, who has already made his senior debut, would end up leaving in order to either join a Premier League rival or become the latest British youngster to head to Germany.

Everton have though ended all those rumours with a new deal, and fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate the announcement this afternoon.
Some appreciate that this is a big move, with Gordon backed for a huge future by a host of supporters, who called him a ‘massive talent’ whilst feeling he may even be better than Theo Walcott for first-team football this season.
