Everton fans have responded to Barcelona-owned central midfielder Andre Gomes’s post on Twitter following the match against West Ham United at the weekend.
The Toffees got the better of West Ham 2-0 away from home at the London Stadium in the Premier League this past Saturday evening.
Gomes, signed on loan from Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the summer of 2018, played well for Marco Silva’s side.
According to WhoScored, the Portugal international central midfielder took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 87.3%, won two headers, made four tackles and one interception, and played one key pass.
So far this season, the 25-year-old has made 22 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Toffees, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
Gomes has taken to Twitter to revel in the win against West Ham, with some Everton fans responding to his message on the social networking site, urging him to sign a permanent contract with the Merseyside outfit in the summer.
