Everton are into the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, but their 2-1 win over Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon was far from convincing.

The Toffees knew that the League Two side would be a tricky opponent, given that the Imps went on a superb FA Cup run in the 2016-17 season.

With Marco Silva’s side in some torrid form over Christmas, a home win was certainly needed, and Ademola Lookman’s header set Everton on their way.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin set up Bernard to dink home a second for Everton, but Lincoln did grab a goal as Michael Bostwick forced the ball home from a free kick.

Everton couldn’t build on their advantage and had to guard against a late shock, with supporters unsurprisingly underwhelmed by the performance.

One of the big concerns was defensively, as Kurt Zouma and Yerry Mina both looked uncomfortable throughout, especially when attempting to defend from the set piece which resulted in Bostwick’s goal.

Mina was slammed on Twitter by fans during and after the game, with one supporter calling him an ‘absolute liability’, and at least Zouma is going back to Chelsea as he’s only on loan.

Others called the Colombian ‘mindless’ and ’embarrassing’, believing that the big money signing from Barcelona over the summer simply isn’t the answer for Silva and co.
