Everton fans react to Smalling, Jones and Rojo rumour

Everton have been linked with a move for at least one of the Manchester United trio.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Everton could move for one out of three Manchester United defenders before the transfer window slams shut – Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo, and some Toffees fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

Everton have made some great signings this summer, with Andre Gomes and Moise Kean moving to Goodison Park on permanent deals.

One deal that Marco Silva wanted to get over the line, however, was Kurt Zouma from Chelsea, and the Daily Mail now claims that it is highly unlikely that the Frenchman will be joining the Blues.

And that leaves Everton slightly short in the central defensive department, having released Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka.

So would Smalling, Jones or Rojo actually be a decent addition for the Merseyside outfit?

Not according to Everton fans.

All three players mentioned have hardly set the world alight at Old Trafford, and some Toffees fans took to Twitter in reaction to the rumours linking the trio with moves to Goodison Park…
