Former Everton midfielder Ross Barkley did not play well for Chelsea against Manchester City at the weekend.

Former Everton attacking midfielder Ross Barkley was in action for Chelsea at the weekend, as the England international featured in the Premier League game against Manchester City away from home on Sunday evening.
Barkley started the match at the Etihad Stadium and played for 52 minutes, as Chelsea were hammered 6-0 by Pep Guardiola’s City.
The Blues produced one of their worst performances of the campaign, and Barkley’s display was not very good.
In fact, the 25-year-old Englishman was responsible for one of the three goals that City striker Sergio Aguero scored, when he headed towards his own goal and straight to the feet of the Argentina international.
According to WhoScored, Barkley – who joined Chelsea from Everton in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £15 million – took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 91.2%, won two headers, and made one tackle.
The win against Chelsea means that City are now ahead of second-placed Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table on goal difference.
Everton fans have mocked Barkley on Twitter, with some suggesting that he does not want Liverpool to win the league title this season.
