Cenk Tosun is finally closing in on a move to the Premier League with Merseyside giants Everton striking a deal for the Besiktas striker.

It seems that Cenk Tosun already has a lot to do in order to win over the Everton faithful.
After months of speculation linking him with a number of Premier League clubs, it appears that Goodison Park will be the destination for Besiktas’ Turkish international talisman. The Sun report that Tosun has already completed his medical and will become an Everton player in a deal worth around £20 million.

A new centre-forward has been Everton’s main priority since Romelu Lukaku left for Manchester United in early July. And The Toffees should be commended for acting quickly this time around, sealing a deal for Tosun before the January window has even opened.
In the last two seasons at Besiktas, the aggressive centre-forward netted 41 goals in all competitions, firing the Istanbul giants to successive Super Lig titles. He also shone in this season’s Champions League group stage, scoring four and setting up a further two as Besiktas cruised through a seemingly even group containing Monaco, Porto and RB Leipzig.

But the 26-year-old is completely unproven in England and, in truth, has only started scoring on a regular basis since the beginning of 2015/16. With the likes of Olivier Giroud and Moussa Dembele linked with Everton recently, it is understandable that some fans are a little underwhelmed.
Tosun has a point to prove already.
