Ashley Williams could reportedly end up staying at Everton.

Everton fans on Twitter aren’t exactly enthused by a recent report about Ashley Williams.
The linked-away Wales international has been touted to leave Merseyside this summer after a difficult 2017-18 campaign in which he struggled for form and regular football.
The Guardian reported last week that Stoke City were keen, but could Williams wind up staying at Everton?

According to The Liverpool Echo, the 33-year-old, who joined for £12 million in 2016 [BBC Sport] might stay and fight for his future with the Toffees.

The report claims that Williams might see out the final year of his contract at Goodison Park instead of leaving – a twist that has Everton fans unhappy.
Here is how some reacted on Twitter:
Fans of the Goodison Park side are probably right to be worried. As proven last year, Williams is probably past his best in terms of being a Premier League defender, so ideally a club as ambitious as Everton really need to find a way to remove him from their books.
