Everton and Brighton and Hove Albion played out a 1-1 draw this weekend.

Everton had Wayne Rooney to thank as a 90th-minute penalty earned his side a point away to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, but for many Toffees fans, it was too little too late.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman has been under pressure for weeks and there was little in this performance to suggest his under-performing players will turn things around in time to save the Dutchman’s job.

While there were some positives to take from the encounter, not least Michael Keane’s much improved performance at centre-back, the same old suspects were simply dialing in their performances, most notably Morgan Schneiderlin.
The France international has been poor all season and Sunday’s game was no exception, with the midfielder to blame for the goal that looked to have sealed victory for Brighton, before Rooney’s late intervention.

While some of Everton’s more experienced players have been dropped – the latest being Ashley Williams – Schneiderlin continues to start week in, week out, and he showed little to justify his manager’s faith against the Seagulls.
