Gomes has been in sensational form at Everton since he arrived on loan from Barcelona, and his latest performance was highly impressive.
The Portuguese midfielder was the stand out player on the pitch, as Everton beat Cardiff City.
And Silva has suggested that Everton are keen to sign Gomes at the end of the season.
“I think in the right moment we have to do something to achieve one player like Andre,” Silva said.
“You go there in the right moment. Andre is enjoying his time but we don’t want to put this pressure of a decision on him. It is early.”
The comments have pleased Everton supporters, who are desperate to see Gomes stick around on a longer-term basis than he is currently scheduled to.
Gomes actually made a slow start at Goodison Park, as injury curtailed his initial progress.
However, he has quickly set about making up for lost time, and now is already playing a key role at Everton.
The Toffees have now moved up to seventh place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Liverpool at the weekend.
