Marco Silva isn’t a popular figure among many Everton fans at the moment.

Everton fans on Twitter aren’t buying Marco Silva’s rationale over Ademola Lookman.
Silva surprised a lot of Everton fans – and probably Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola – by dropping the 21-year-old from his squad for the midweek defeat by the Premier League leaders at Goodison Park.
The Portuguese manager told a press conference via The Echo on Friday that it was a ‘technical decision’ and admitted that the Toffees live-wire was ‘fit’ for selection on Wednesday.
Silva instead punted for Theo Walcott, a winger who hasn’t scored or set up a goal in any of his last nine games for the Merseyside club.
Here is how Everton fans reacted to the former Watford manager’s explanation regarding Lookman.
You can understand Everton fans’ frustration. On the one hand, Lookman is inconsistent, but is he more likely to have a positive impact than Walcott? Definitely.
The former Charlton youth remains a huge talent and, aged only 21, he is hungrier than Walcott.
Walcott has been playing all season, whereas Lookman has had to rely on cameo appearances off the bench for the most part. A big performance against Guardiola’s side could’ve been the chance he might’ve relished, but as it were the opportunity was not given to him.
