The Toffees were held to a 1-1 draw by Huddersfield Town at Goodison Park.
It was a mixed afternoon for Everton on the whole, but an excellent one for their new signing.
Zouma, who joined the Merseyside club on a season-long loan from Chelsea last month, enjoyed a brilliant full debut for Marco Silva’s side.
The 23-year-old looks to have the speed and calm in defence that Everton had been lacking for some time.
