Everton fans are firmly behind Joao Virginia’s potential loan move to Reading.
Get Reading have reported that the Championship side are close to signing the young Toffees’ goalkeeper and that a deal is ‘almost done’.
At 19, Virginia, who joined Everton from Arsenal, has an extremely bright future in the sport and is already known by the Goodison Park faithful for his heroics with the Under-23 team last term.
He won a League and Cup double under David Unsworth last term, and fans of the Merseyside club would love to see him take the next step by moving to the Championship for a year.

Sure, a lot of fans would love to see him in Marco Silva’s senior side, challenging Jordan Pickford, but the reality is that he’s far too young and inexperienced.
In fact, Silva has already signed Jonas Lossl this summer as competition for Pickford, so Virginia, at best, would be third-choice option for a team with no European football to worry about.
