The 24-year-old won’t kick a ball for Everton until 2020.

Everton have revealed that summer signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin will miss the rest of this calendar year after undergoing surgery on a muscle injury.
The 24-year-old had only made two Premier League appearances for the Toffees before falling injured in August.
However, Gbamin returned to Marco Silva’s Everton training earlier in October and it seemed like he was on the mend, but now the club have revealed that he is set for a three-month absence over a muscle problem [official site].
The bad news keeps coming for Silva, whose side sit 18th in the Premier League after a string of four successive defeats.
And here’s how fans of the Goodison Park club reacted to this bombshell.
Silva was already light on midfielders following the departure of Idrissa Gueye and James McCarthy during the summer.
According to The Irish Times], Everton splurged £22.5 million on the Ivorian, indicating that he was set to be Gueye’s long-term replacement in that anchoring midfield role.
But now Silva will have to make do with Morgan Schneiderlin, an unpopular figure among Toffees supporters after years of underwhelming displays.
