The Leicester City striker is linked with a move to Everton this summer.

The Express reported this weekend that Everton would look to Jamie Vardy if Romelu Lukaku leaves the club this summer.

Lukaku has been strongly linked with moves to both Chelsea and Manchester United this week and it remains to be seen if manager Ronald Koeman can keep him on Merseyside beyond the transfer window.

The big Belgian netted 25 Premier League goals last season, meaning that Everton will need a top-class replacement and The Express threw Vardy’s name into the mix.

The Leicester City marksman, who scored 13 times in the Premier League this past season, only signed a four-year deal last summer but the report goes on to suggest that he would be open to leaving the Foxes.

But are Everton fans open to bringing him in? It seems like those on the blue half of Merseyside are conflicted about the speculation as supporters shared their view on Twitter.

Vardy is a fantastic striker, but pace is such a big part of his game and this is a man who will be 31 in January. With three years to go on his contract, Vardy, who earns up to £100,000 a week with City, would not be cheap and perhaps Everton are better off hunting a younger model to replace Lukaku, if he leaves.
