Everton drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace in an entertaining clash.

Everton got a much-needed point on the board this weekend, even if that was still two less than their fans would have been hoping for.
A 2-2 draw away to fellow strugglers Crystal Palace ensured caretaker Toffees boss David Unsworth made it four points from his last two matches, but Everton remain perilously close to the relegation zone as their search for a new permanent manager continues.

Everton went behind with just a minute on the clock, but James McArthur’s early strike was cancelled out by a Leighton Baines penalty only five minutes later.
Palace went 2-1 up courtesy of Wilfried Zaha, however the resurgent Oumar Niasse leveled shortly before half-time and that was how it remained.
Everton’s midfield has come in for plenty of criticism this season, with the injured Morgan Schneiderlin being blasted yet again despite playing the first half after an injection in his toe. Yet the Frenchman was not the only under-performing player on the day.

Idrissa Gueye has been poor all season and Saturday’s game was no different.
The former Aston Villa player needs to be stamping his authority on these matches like he was last season. Instead he and his fellow midfielders are too often overrun.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Everton fans thought of Gueye’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
