Everton are into the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, but their 2-1 win over Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon was far from convincing.

The Toffees knew that the League Two side would be a tricky opponent, given that the Imps went on a superb FA Cup run in the 2016-17 season.

With Marco Silva’s side in some torrid form over Christmas, a home win was certainly needed, and Ademola Lookman’s header set Everton on their way.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin set up Bernard to dink home a second for Everton, but Lincoln did grab a goal as Michael Bostwick forced the ball home from a free kick.

Everton couldn’t build on their advantage and had to guard against a late shock, with supporters unsurprisingly underwhelmed by the performance.

Fans really weren’t impressed with playmaker Gyfli Sigurdsson, who has suffered a dip in form of late after staring the season in fine form.

The 29-year-old didn’t have a huge impact against Lincoln, and fans took to Twitter to slam his display, the latest in a string of disappointments.

Some suggested that Sigurdsson is out of his depth at Everton, just like he was at Tottenham, adding that he was ‘terrible’ and ‘shocking’, with one fan even saying he would be happy to see Everton sell him tomorrow.
