Everton are in the market for a new centre back this summer, but look to have missed out on Lille ace Gabriel; he’s set to join Arsenal instead.
The Toffees have Yerry Mina, Michael Keane, Mason Holgate and talented prospect Jarrad Branthwaite, but Carlo Ancelotti wants another option.
The latest name being linked with Everton is Fikayo Tomori, as The Telegraph claim that the Toffees want him on loan.
With Chelsea poised to sign Thiago Silva – another played linked with Everton – Tomori is slipping down their pecking order.
The 22-year-old impressed in the early stages of last season, with Frank Lampard giving him a run in the first team having starred under him at Derby County.
Tomori won a first England cap in November, but found first-team football harder to come by in the second half of the season, with injuries playing their part.

Chelsea may now want Tomori to go out and play regular Premier League games, just like Kurt Zouma did at Everton in the 2018-19 season, with Marcel Brands looking at a similar deal.
Everton fans largely like the idea of bringing in Tomori, hoping that they see the Canada-born defender arrive at Goodison Park.
Others are worried it will be another Zouma situation, where he impresses before heading back to Chelsea – and subsequently want a purchase clause in any loan deal to prevent such a situation from happening again.
