Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Dele Alli made just his third Premier League appearance of the season on Sunday, coming on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.

Alli has been a bit-part player this season; he has rarely been named in Tottenham’s matchday squads in the Premier League, and even Europa League action has been hard to come by.

Jose Mourinho just doesn’t seem all that convinced by Alli right now, and that has resulted in speculation surrounding his future.

The 24-year-old’s lack of game time means it’s hard to imagine him being in England’s squad for the European Championships in the summer, and that may make a loan move possible.

The Mirror now report that Everton want to sign Alli, with Carlo Ancelotti thought to be a keen admirer ofr the Spurs ace.

Everton would be looking to take Alli on loan, though whether Spurs are willing to send him to a club who will also be challenging for European football remains to be seen.

Toffees fans have been reacting to the rumours, with some feeling that Alli is ‘quality’ and just needs some confidence, with Ancelotti the ideal boss to provide it.

Others believe he would be better value for money than Isco, but have fears that Tottenham wouldn’t actually allow him to make the move to Merseyside.
