Everton’s Davy Klaassen didn’t cover himself in glory this afternoon.
Everton rounded off their pre-season preparations with an exciting 2-2 draw with Sevilla at Goodison Park this afternoon.
Former Barcelona forward Sandro opened the scoring within the first minute to give Everton fans a taste of things to come from him this season.
But a quickfire double from Ever Banega in the second half had the Toffees trailing 2-1 ahead of the final 10 minutes, but a Kevin Mirallas penalty salvaged a draw for Ronald Koeman’s side.

The Dutch manager, who has spent over £100 million this summer, played five of his pre-season recruits, but one of them, Davy Klaassen, didn’t impress.
The Netherlands international hasn’t looked at his best since his £23.5 million switch from Ajax in June and although Everton fans appreciate how early it is for judgement, a lot of them want more from him in the Premier League this season.
Koeman’s side kick off their season by hosting Stoke City next weekend and, based on this, Klaassen might struggle to start.
