Everton are reportedly pursuing Ajax star David Neres.

Ajax again impressed in the Champions League last night, picking up a 1-1 draw with Juventus when they arguably deserved even more.
The Amsterdam giants knocked out Real Madrid in the last round, and were tasked with knocking out Cristiano Ronaldo and Juve in order to reach the semi-finals.
Ajax were outstanding in the first half last night, piling pressure on Wojciech Szczesny’s goal before being hit with the sucker punch as Ronaldo headed home Joao Cancelo’s cross, putting Juve in front.
Ajax weren’t deterred though, and came out firing in the second half as winger David Neres went on a superb solo run before firing a right-footed shot past Szczesny and into the net.
Erik ten Hag’s side pushed for the winner but couldn’t find it, and were almost hit again as Douglas Costa rattled the woodwork for Juve, but the game ended 1-1, meaning the second leg in Turin is finely-poised.
A host of Ajax players caught the eye once again, but goalscorer Neres really turned up having been linked with a big Premier League move in the build-up to the game.

The 22-year-old has racked up 12 goals and 15 assists this season, and UOL in Brazil claim that Everton are keen to lure him to Goodison Park, and he may well be interested as he wants to play in the Premier League.
Everton fans took to Twitter after seeing Neres score against Juve, with many urging the club to bring him to Merseyside having been hugely impressed by the Brazilian wide man.
However, some believe that his goal was the worst thing that could have happened for Everton, as bigger clubs will now be keen to sign him, meaning the Toffees may have already missed their chance to land Neres this summer…
