Cenk Tosun really doesn’t appear to have had the best time at Everton and if recent reports are to be believed, he could be on his way out sooner rather than later.
Signed by Sam Allardyce in last year’s January transfer window in a deal reportedly worth £27m (Liverpool Echo), the Turkey international scored five times in 12 starts.
However, Tosun has fallen out of favour under current Toffees manager Marco Silva, starting just six Premier League games this season and omitted from the squad entirely during two festive games (Transfermarkt).
On Friday, Silva stressed that Everton would have to sell players this month if they wanted to make new signings, and although no names were mentioned, Tosun’s future remains the subject of speculation.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Merseysiders have placed a £20million price tag on the 27-year-old, who has scored seven goals in 31 appearances, and are willing to offload him if any clubs interested can meet their valuation.
The report also claims that Everton are understood to have fielded enquires from Premier League clubs to take both Tosun and Oumar Niasse on loan, but apparently the club wants permanent deals.
