The Turkish marksman can’t buy a game for Everton right now.

Cenk Tosun can’t get a game for Everton, but that hasn’t affected his international form.

The Turkey striker, who has managed 35 minutes of Premier League football for Everton this season, scored a last-minute winner in Friday’s 1-0 victory over Albania in Euro 2020 qualifying.

Tosun, a £28 million signing by Everton nearly two years ago, produced a diving header to win the game after a mix-up between the opposition defence and goalkeeper.

Here’s how Toffees fans reacted to the goal:

At this stage, what do Everton have to lose by playing him instead of, say, Dominic Calvert-Lewin?

Manager Marco Silva is under huge pressure to turn things around as the Goodison Park club sit 18th in the Premier League after seven games.

Only goals can dig him out of this mess and although Tosun hasn’t been a roaring hit in England, netting eight times in 40 league outings, he is a natural striker, more so than Calvert-Lewin potentially.
