The 25-year-old central midfielder, signed on loan from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Toffees won 3-1.
According to WhoScored, the Portugal international played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 86.5%, won three headers, had 84 headers, and made one tackle.
Everton fans were impressed with the performance of Gomes and have raved about him on Twitter.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Everton had 61% of the possession, took 14 shots of which three were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Marco Silva’s side are now ninth in the Premier League table with 18 points from 11 matches.
The Toffees are back in action next Sunday when they take on Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
