Everton have been linked with Watford’s Richarlison.

The transfer window may not be officially open for more than two months yet, but rumours already surround Everton and a potential signing.
The Toffees have endured a difficult season having spent heavily only to struggle early in the campaign, leading to Ronald Koeman’s sacking back in October.
Replacement Sam Allardyce may not even be in charge next season, and more spending is expected from majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri as Everton chase European football again.

Now, Sky Sports report that Everton want to sign Watford forward Richarlison, with the Brazilian valued at around £40million – almost four times what Watford paid for him last summer.
The 20-year-old, who can play out wide or up front, starred in his native Brazil with Atletico Mineiro and Fluminense before heading to Watford last summer, where he made an instant impact with five goals and four assists in his first 17 games.
However, Richarlison hasn’t scored since the 19th of November or an assist since the 12th of December, but Watford are maintaining their high asking price – and teams are maintaining their interest in him.

Everton may be looking to make a big splash with a move for Richarlison, but fans aren’t overly impressed with the rumour, taking to Twitter to suggest that £40million is madness for a player who has scored just five times this season.
Others think Everton would be better off using Ademola Lookman rather than splashing out on another winger, with some even suggesting that Marco Silva – Richarlison’s former manager at Watford – may be the reason for the interest, given links between Silva and Everton this summer.
