Everton supporters on Twitter are pleased to see that Yannick Bolasie has departed the club and joined Sporting Lisbon for the rest of the season.

On Tuesday, the club announced on their official Twitter account that Bolasie has joined the Portuguese side on a season-long loan.

Since Bolasie moved to Goodison Park in 2016, he hasn’t been able to showcase his worth as he will be looking to get his career back on track outside of England.

Given that he wasn’t able to perform for Everton, it isn’t a surprise that the Goodison Park faithful are grateful to see the back of their player.

Last season, for the first half of the campaign, Bolasie went out on loan to Aston Villa, but he opted to make a return in January and then he moved to Anderlecht in Belgium.

His time at Villa was a struggle, he failed to produce the goods for Dean Smith’s side, who at the time were in the Championship.

Nonetheless, he will be hoping he can revive his career in Portugal, as at the age of 30, he is at an age where he has to be playing regular football.
