Everton defender Tyias Browning has made a transfer switch to the Chinese Super League.

Some Everton supporters on Twitter are absolutely perplexed at defender Tyias Browning opting to join Guangzhou Evergrande in China.
The Toffees confirmed on their official Twitter account on Wednesday that the 24-year-old has moved to the Chinese Super League for an undisclosed fee.
Browning only featured in Marco Silva’s matchday squad on one occasion this season and that was when he was an unused substitute against Huddersfield in September.
Despite his lack of game time for the first-team, Everton fans on Twitter were surprised by the move, with one fan joking whether there will be a testimonial for the player.
Considering he is moving to a league that has been known to pull off big-money signings in recent seasons, some questioned the price tag with one ambitiously naming ’63 million’, while another claiming it to be ’38 million’.
Either way, it is highly unlikely that he has gone for any of those fees as he will now be preparing for life in China and a footballing market that is growing by the year.
Here is a selection of Everton fans on Twitter reacting to Browning’s transfer:
During his time at Goodison Park, Browning made only nine appearances for the club, but he played over 100 times for the club’s under-23s, according to transfermarkt.
The Liverpool-born player also had loan spells at Sunderland, Preston North End and a very brief spell at Wigan as the versatile defender has now sealed a permanent switch.
