Everton attacker Ademola Lookman has been granted just one Premier League start this season.
Everton fans have been left utterly baffled by how Sam Allardyce is planning to help Ademola Lookman’s development at Goodison Park.
Lookman looks like one of Everton’s brightest prospects, but he is yet to make a Premier League start for the Toffees since Allardyce took charge.
The former Charlton Athletic man has struggled for game time, and regularly been overlooked.
Allardyce suggested to the Liverpool Echo that Lookman has been left out because of his age.
He said: “Ademola but they’re at the younger end and it’s hard for those lads to play every week at this level until they gain enough experience.”
However, Allardyce confirmed at his latest press conference that Lookman won’t be loaned out.
He said to the Liverpool Echo: “He [Lookman] wouldn’t be available on loan because Aaron Lennon went a few days ago.”
Everton fans are now left confused over how Allardyce is planning to develop Lookman.
In total, Lookman has made 16 appearances for Everton this season and scored three goals.
The youngster has generally been used from the bench, and the additions of Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott this month will only make his task of breaking into the starting line-up even more difficult.
